In response to the unfortunate incident on the eve of Australia Day between two Indian students and five men of mixed ethnic backgrounds, the Chinese Community Council of Australia (Victoria Chapter) (CCCAV) today urged authorities and the overall community to uplift its priorities around the promotion of cultural diversity and community harmony in Victoria and Australia on the wake of the unfortunate incidents on Indian students.

Taking the welfare of international students to the next step |

The Federal Government is currently taking the welfare of international students to the next step through the inquiry to the Senate Education, Employment and Workplace Committee to look into the welfare of international students in Australia and an interim report of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act Review.

Aged Care services to the Chinese community is long overdue |

Chinese Community Council of Australia (Victoria Chapter) (CCCAV) today announced its official support to the Chinese Community Social Services Centre’s (CCSSCI) petition to the House of Representatives to highlight the severe shortage of residential care places and community care packages to the growing Chinese Australian ageing population. |
