The Chinese Community Council of Australia (Victoria Chapter) (CCCAV) Inc. was established on 17 January 2008 as a voluntary community based organization.
The CCCAV is a non-profit advocacy body representing the Chinese community in Victoria.
The role of CCCAV is to advocate and represent the interests of the Chinese community in Victoria and to foster a spirit of cooperation and unity amongst Victorian’s of Chinese descent from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan and other parts of the world. CCCAV is also a working member of the national body, Chinese Community Council of Australia.
The purpose of the CCCAV is to establish successful working relationships with all levels of governments to deliver accessible and equitable services to Victoria’s Chinese community.
CCCAV supports a multicultural and cohesive Victoria and aims to foster links with other culturally and linguistically diverse communities and organizations. CCCAV advocates and lobbies all levels of government on behalf of Chinese communities in areas like access and equity, migration services, aged care, youth services, employment, health and education. CCCAV also provides advice to various businesses, government departments and community organizations in relations to working with the Chinese community.
CCCAV welcomes membership from organizations with a multicultural and diversity focus, or organizations and individuals who support CCCAV.
